If you have a patient with an ocular emergency, Bradford Royal Infirmary has a Rapid Access Eye Emergency Clinic.
From Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm please call
BRI on 01274 364113.
Outside of these hours please call 01274 542200 (BRI helpdesk) and ask for the ON-CALL Ophthalmologist.
Airedale General Hospital do not accept Eye Emergencies. Please DO NOT direct your patient to Airedale General as this will cause unneccessary delay.
(Airedale WILL accept patients with suspect Papilloedema)
BRI / Airedale Monitored Patient Referrals
If you need to refer a patient who is under the care of BRI/Airedale Ophthalmology back to BRI/Airedale for management then this is best done directly with BRI/Airedale. Please send a letter to the pateints named consultant or to the eye department at BRI/Airedale.
